How Do You See Me? Down Syndrome Awareness Campaign Raises a Question

A student with Down syndrome from Rowan State University, AnnaRose Rubright, was selected to appear in a video for a global campaign for World Down Syndrome Day.   She also presented at the United Nations on World Down Syndrome Day.  The campaign is called How Do You See Me?

However, some people have questioned the message of the PSA, claiming it idealizes Down syndrome rather than promotes awareness of the condition.  One listener said that people with Down syndrome are beautiful in their own right, even if they do not conform to the image of the beautiful actress Olivia Wilde.
